With tapering blade of hollow triangular section signed at the forte 'BERNARD SUCCESSEUR DE LA ROCHE A LA FETE NOIRE PONT ST. MICHEL A PARIS', steel hilt pierced with sunbursts and scrollwork, and original ribbon- and wire-bound grip; together with A COMPOSITE SMALL-SWORD, the blade probably 19th century, with slender double-edged fullered blade with later markings within each fuller, pierced and chiselled steel hilt including double shell-guard and lobed quillon, and grip bound with copper wire; and A CAVALRY SABRE OF POLISH TYPE, the blade possibly 17th century, with curved single-edged blade back-edged towards the point, iron guard with long slender langets, and leather-covered wooden hilt, in original leather-covered brass-mounted wooden scabbard
