The breakarch case with urn finials, arched diamond-pierced sound frets below carrying handles, inset fluted columns, on bracket feet, the gilt-brass dial with shell and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with retail signature MAPLE & CO. LTD LONDON, with matted centre and blued steel hands, the arch with subsidiary rings for chime/silent, regulation and Westminster/Eight bell selection, the substantial eight day triple chain fusee movement with hour strike on gong and quarter chimes on four gongs or eight bells, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate-- 18 1/8in. (46cm.) high; and the matching wall bracket, on scroll supports -- 17½in. (44cm.) high (2)
