Edo period (18th century), the first inscribed in gold inlay Sadamune and with signature Hon'ami and kao (cursive monogram) in gold inlay; the second inscribed Sadamune
The first shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, torii-zori and chu-gissaki with itame forging pattern and notare midare tempered edge and a rounded tip, the tang shortened with horizontal file marks and one mekugi-ana, in wood storage scabbard; the second hira-zukuri, iori-mune and saki-zori and carved with bo-hi on both sides, the forging pattern itame and the tempered edge gunome midare with a jizo tip, the tang unshortened with two mekugi-ana
Koshirae comprising a dark-gold lacquer scabbard decorated with nashiji family crests on a hirame ground and fitted with silvered kojiri, koiguchi, fuchi-gashira and tsuba carved with waves and mounted with a kozuka decorated with gilt flowers on a nanako ground, the blade signed Inoue Izumi (no) kami Kunisada, dragon menuki
