A POLYCHROME-DECORATED CARVED WOOD STANDING FIGURE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The standing figure is carved with his hands clasped before him, his eyes downcast and upswept hair worn in a lotus bud top knot, his robes are worn over a tunic and fall in loose folds that fall just short of his feet. The figure bears traces of gilt decoration and red, black, green and blue pigment.
