A Regency mahogany and cut brass inlaid striking bracket clock with bracket, circa 1820
The case with stepped and chamfered top with ripple mouldings, fishscale sound frets to the sides below ring handles, brass strips to the chamfered front angles and fielded brass panels to the front, with ripple cornices and on ball feet, the white painted Roman dial (some chipping) with moon hands, strike/silent adjustment above XII, signed GRANT Fleet Street LONDON, the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with repeat signature to the backplate -- 16¼in. (41.5cm.) high; and the wall bracket en suite -- 12¾in. (32.5cm.) wide
