The case with stepped and chamfered top and ripple cornice mouldings, with bevelled glass side panels, the moulded base raised on brass bun feet, with arched bevelled glass and gilt-brass sight ring to a gilt dial mask finely engraved with leafy scrolls and flowers around a basket of fruit, the white enamel Roman dial signed DENT 82 STRAND. LONDON 574, blued steel moon hands, the four pillar movement with rectangular plates and single chain fusee with anchor escapement, with repeat signature and pendulum holdfast to the back plate
