The wide-bodied case with swan neck cresting and outset turned columns, conforming columns flanking the short trunk door, the plinth with canted angles and on bracket feet, the 14in. wide painted dial with painted shell spandrels to raised centre with Roman and Arabic chapters, subsidiary seconds ring and arched date aperture, signed Weaver/Droitwich, with brass hands, the arch with painted rolling moon, with falseplate to the eight day four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 96¼in. (245cm.) high
