Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the nimbate Emperor Jahangir wearing floral embroidered robes and pearl-studded turban sits cross-legged on a gold bed beneath a canopy at night, before him stands a trusted courtier who imparts advice as they drink wine together, further courtiers and attendants stand around, considerable repainting, spot staining, traces of inscription along lower edge, laid down between gold and polychrome rules and minor gold illuminated pink borders on gold-speckled cream margins, mounted, framed and glazed
