Das Werk ist in Paul Camenisch interessantester Schaffensphase entstanden. Im Café Commerce Suisse gesellt sich zur expressionistischen Malerei eine surreale Komponente. Das Bild lädt sich durch den farbigen Kontrast energetisch auf und die Formen scheinen organisch zu wirken. Farbe und Gegenstand sind zum gemeinsamen Stimmungsträger geworden.

This work developed during Paul Camenisch's most interesting creative phase. Café Commerce Suisse combines the expressionistic painting with a surreal component. The picture is energetically charged by the coloured contrast and the forms seem to work organically. Colour and subject have become the common mood bearers.
