In March, Christie's achieved several strong results: the Masterpieces from the Veil-Picard Collection totaled €9,433,135, led by Fragonard (€2,866,000) and Hubert Robert, pre-empted by the Louvre (€2,439,000).

Old Master Drawings reached €1,287,653, with two pairs by Jean-Michel Moreau pre-empted by the Versailles museum.

La Bibliothèque poétique de Jean Paul Barbier-Mueller totalled €1,240,663, with Louise Labé's Œuvres (€133,350) and a manuscript pre-empted by the Bibliothèque de Rennes.

The Collections sale rounded off these fine results with an Art Deco wine cooler at €88,900 and an enamelled gold snuff box at €38,100.
