Hermès silk scarves

Hermès silk scarves are an enduring emblem of the maison’s creativity and craftsmanship. First introduced in 1937, the scarf was known as the carré due to its classic square shape. Inspired by riding silk, each scarf is hand-printed, with Hermès creating the designs using durable Chinese silk.

From classic equestrian motifs to imaginative landscapes, Hermès silk scarves now feature artwork by over 150 artists. The designs transcend fashion, becoming highly collectible expressions of art, heritage and individuality.
