The Château de Tournay Collections unfold across two sales, revealing the world of a discerning and erudite collector.
They embody the elegance of eighteenth-century French taste. On 17 June, the Decorative Arts will take center stage: royal furniture by BVRB or Georges Jacob, bronze sculptures, silverware, tapestries and porphyry objects, each selected for its provenance, and rarity. On 18 June, the library will follow: from Montaigne to Picasso, with bindings by Paul Bonet or Rose Adler, all in remarkable condition.
Taken together, these two sales form an intimate and luminous portrait of a collection where taste is expressed as a true art of living.
