Guest lecturers
Artist-photographer Aliki Braine exhibits internationally and regularly lectures on visual practice at the National Gallery, Wallace Collection and University of the Arts London, fusing rigorous scholarship in 17th-century painting with contemporary photographic experimentation.
Andrew Hildreth is an independent watch consultant. Andrew has written about watches for GQ, Hodinkee, Watch Journal, QP Magazine, Calibre, and others. He is a Liveryman at the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. He presents Watches online.
Art historian Dr Ben Street wrote the accessible guide How to Enjoy Art (Yale) among other books for general readers. He lectures for the National Gallery, Tate and other leading museums, and contributes regularly to Apollo, Art Review and The TLS. He presents Modern Art and The Great Masters of European Art 1350–1850 and delivers in person courses at Christie’s Education.
Clare McAndrew writes the annual art industry benchmark publication, The Art Market, An Art Basel & UBS Report. Her academic research includes particular interests in risk and investment, arts-related policy and artists’ careers. She presents Christie’s Education’s Art Market Economics online course.
Geoff Lowsley manages a highly significant private collection of fine art and antiques across ten properties worldwide. He draws on collection management roles at the National Trust and the Courtauld Gallery, and has worked at two London auction houses.
Georgia Powell is co-founder of CURA Art, guiding collectors through conserving, managing and displaying their collections. She channels museum-trained expertise into tailored collection care, exhibition design and philanthropy support.
Art historian Jacqui Ansell draws on decades of lecturing for the National Gallery, Open University, Art Society and Christie’s Education, as well as writing art historical study skills material and distance-learning modules for multiple institutions. She presents the online course ‘Old Mistresses’: Fame, Fortune and Female Artists 1500-1900.
Design specialist Joy McCall has an international reputation for her expertise in Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Lalique and is celebrated for record-breaking sales like Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh’s £1.7 m White Rose and Red Rose. Joy presents 20th Century and Contemporary Design.
Art-history educator Karly Allen co-directs Limina Collective, blending drawing and mindfulness to spark close looking. Drawing on nearly two decades shaping National Gallery programmes and Royal Collection education, she leads workshops for museums from the V&A to the RA.
Nico Epstein, art advisor and educator, is the co-founder of Lisbon-based consultancy arbulu studio and the Collector Connoisseur learning platform. Nico acquires artworks for a network of European and American clients and has helped to arrange more than 20 exhibitions of contemporary art throughout Europe, New York and Hong Kong, focusing mostly on artists of his generation.
Art-market commentator Tom Flynn directs the provenance research agency Flynn & Giovani, drawing on careers at The Art Newspaper, in academia and in the art market. He has published widely on the global art market, museology, and art and design history.
Jewellery historian Vanessa Cron specializes in historic provenance research, where she investigates the provenance of legendary jewels such as the Peregrina pearl and the Grand Mazarin diamond. Vanessa has collaborated with author Vincent Meylan for his book Christie’s: The Jewellery Archives Revealed. She presents the History of Jewellery Design 1880 to Now and Jewellery: Gemstones, Metal, Fashion, Film and Objets d'art online courses.
Art-law specialist Vittoria Mastrandrea, a UK-qualified solicitor with a PhD on ‘national treasure’ legislation, is a member of both the Institute of Art and Law and the Association of Critical Heritage Studies. She presents the self-directed Art Law online course.
