Christie’s Middle East
Discover a world of extraordinary art and objects at Christie’s in the Middle East.
Christie’s has built a strong presence in the region ever since our first auction held in Dubai in May 2006. Under the leadership of Dr. Ridha Moumni, Deputy Chairman, and Meagan Kelly Horsman, Managing Director, Christie’s Middle East is the global hub for exceptional art and luxury items.
This autumn season saw outstanding results in these categories with an extremely rare Richard Mille RM50-03 GR McLaren selling for US$1,134,00 in Watches Online: The Dubai Edit. Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art also realised fantastic results, headlined by Ali Banisadr’s Broken Land, that reached £415,800 in London this November. Similarly, exceptional results were achieved in the Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds Including Oriental Rugs and Carpets sale, totalling an impressive £15,989,352 and led by a rare Imperial Mughal Pashmina carpet that sold for £5,442,000 at King Street in October.
