In 1925, Paris became the laboratory of a new world — where progress, craftsmanship and imagination reshaped the way we live with art. A century later, Christie’s honours that spirit of innovation through four landmark sales across Paris and New York, spanning the evolution of design from early Art Deco to the poetic modernity of today.

In Paris, Design, 1925–2025: la Modernité en Héritage prepares the centennial celebration. Highlighted by The Christian Mattler Collection, this Paris sale showcases icons such as Alberto Giacometti, Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé. Paris extends this momentum with a curated selection that traces each decade’s creative milestones, reflecting how design has powerfully reinvented the way we inhabit our environments.

In New York, 1925 | A Modern Vision celebrates 100 years since the Exposition Internationale in Paris that gave birth to Art Deco, with masterworks by Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Jean Dunand and André Groult. DESIGN Featuring Works from the Edlis | Neeson Collection carries standout works by Josef Hoffmann, Dagobert Peche, Jean Royère and Les Lalanne. Tiffany spotlights the brilliance of American design through luminous windows, lamps and objects, anchored by the Albert Zuckerman Collection.

Together, these sales bridge eras, continents and movements to reveal how modern vision continues to shape the way we live and collect today.
