Modern New York brings together paintings, photographs, prints and more, highlighting iconic voices in American and European modernism from the late19th and 20th centuries.
Prints and Multiples, anchored by Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe prints from the Collection of Dr. Giuseppi Rossi gifted directly from the artist, features a range of pioneering works by Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Keith Haring and more. Modern American Art spans important movements of the early 20th Century, headlined by major artists from Georgia O’Keeffe and other Stieglitz Circle artists to Milton Avery and masters of illustration, including N.C. Wyeth and Norman Rockwell among others. The Photographs auction explores themes across the history of the medium including portraiture, landscape and abstraction with Irving Penn, Alfred Stieglitz, Sally Mann, Andreas Gursky and many more.
Together, the sales offer exceptional modern works, including a significant group of no-reserve lots across American art and photographs, welcoming both new and seasoned collectors.
