Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale

Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale

Sale Overview

The Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale in New York brings together a carefully curated selection of important works from the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Offering a compelling survey of the artists and movements that transformed the history of art, the sale celebrates a period of extraordinary artistic innovation, from Impressionism’s challenge to academic tradition to the radical experimentation of modernism.

Highlights this fall include exceptional paintings by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Childe Hassam, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Gabriele Münter and Joan Miró, alongside important sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Jacques Lipchitz, Alberto Giacometti and Jean (Hans) Arp.

This season, we are also honored to present works from several outstanding collections, including In Conversation: Property from a Private Northwest Collection, The Passionate Collectors: Property from Marlene and Spencer Hays, and The Lipchitz Legacy: Works from the Collection of Hanno D. Mott.
