The Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale in New York presents a carefully curated selection of works by leading artists of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries, offering a compelling survey of the period’s most influential movements.
This season, Christie’s is proud to present works from several outstanding collections, including The Collection of Lorinda Payson de Roulet, The Joanna Carson Collection: A Legacy of Glamour and Giving, Lasting Impression: The Collection of Marilyn Arison, and The Rabb Goldberg Collection, among others.
Highlights include important paintings by Childe Hassam, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Edouard Vuillard, Pierre Bonnard, Gabriele Münter and Otto Mueller; sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Alexander Archipenko, Jean (Hans) Arp and Marino Marini; as well as notable watercolours by American masters Winslow Homer and Andrew Wyeth.
