On 27 February in New York, Christie’s presents the Post-War to Present auction, the premier platform for today’s leading artistic voices and celebrated figures of the post-war period. Offering fresh perspectives on figuration and abstraction through the lens of contemporary artists, such as Jonas Wood and Mark Grotjahn, the sale also features pioneering artists of the post-war era, such as Richard Diebenkorn, Helen Frankenthaler, and Ed Ruscha. Highlights include works from the prominent collections of Mel & Martha Horowitz, Leslie Feely and an important San Francisco collection. Central to the sale is a charitable initiative for L’Alliance New York, comprised of works by Lisa Yuskavage, Cindy Sherman and other creative luminaries. Leading the Spring auction season, the Post-War to Present sale embodies the apex of the lineage of 20th and 21st century art, extending ample opportunities for every type of collector.
