On 27 February in New York, Christie’s presents the Post-War to Present auction, the premier platform for today’s leading artistic voices and celebrated figures of the post-war period. Offering fresh perspectives on figuration and abstraction through the lens of contemporary artists, such as Jonas Wood and Mark Grotjahn, the sale also features pioneering artists of the post-war era, such as Richard Diebenkorn, Helen Frankenthaler, and Ed Ruscha. Highlights include works from the prominent collections of Mel & Martha Horowitz, Leslie Feely and an important San Francisco collection. Central to the sale is a charitable initiative for L’Alliance New York, comprised of works by Lisa Yuskavage, Cindy Sherman and other creative luminaries. Leading the Spring auction season, the Post-War to Present sale embodies the apex of the lineage of 20th and 21st century art, extending ample opportunities for every type of collector.

Julian Ehrlich is an Associate Vice President and the Head of the Post-War to Present Sale at Christie’s. With an interest in emerging and underrecognized artists, Julian is responsible for maintaining the momentum of Christie’s mid-season sale platform. Since joining Christie's, Julian has contributed to and led important collection sales, including ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann and The Rosa de la Cruz collection. Additionally, Julian has helped set records for artists ranging from Lois Dodd, Noah Purifoy, Rick Lowe, Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Ana Mendieta. Prior to joining Christie’s, Julian worked at another international auction house where he focused on Post-War and Contemporary sales, playing an instrumental role in achieving record prices for artists such as Ed Clark and Lynda Benglis. A native New Yorker, Julian earned his B.A. in Art History and Computer Science from Bowdoin College.
