The live sales were led by ‘The Ethereal Jadeite Necklace’, which sold for HK$200M / US$25.5M, becoming the most valuable masterpiece sold in Asia this Spring. Ten world auction records were set across categories, including the F.P. Journe “Black Label Parking Metre” at HK$12.07M / US$1.54M; a Patek Philippe Ref. 5951/500P at HK$6.99M / US$891,393; a Hermès Faubourg Birkin at HK$4.3M / US$551,243; and a Hermès Shoulder Birkin at HK$1.9M / US$243,195.
These notable results and competitive bidding across all categories reaffirm Christie’s market leadership and reflect robust momentum in the global luxury collectibles market. New buyers and bidders continue to be a driving force, with Millennials and Gen Z representing over 50% of new buyers.
