Associate Director and Head of the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sales
Anthony McNerney commenced his career at Christie's in 1995, on completion of a BA in Fine Art and Art History and has worked in the Contemporary and Post-War and Contemporary Art departments since June 1996. From 2000-01 and from 2003-06, he was Head of the Contemporary and Post-War & Contemporary Art departments at Christie's South Kensington. Always working in conjunction with his colleagues worldwide, Anthony has extensive knowledge of the Young British Art movement and the further development of Contemporary Art in Britain and Europe. He became an Associate Director of Christie's in 2005 and is now the Head of the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sales and co-Head of The Contemporary Sale in London.
