Giulio Sangiuliano joined Christie's in 2003 as a specialist in the contemporary art department and was subsequently promoted to Head of Sale of Modern and Contemporary Art in Milan. While at Christie's, Giulio has overseen the sale Arturo Martini's sculpture Donna che nuota sott'acqua, which achieved €2.2 million in Milan in May 2005, the highest price achieved for a Modern and Contemporary work of art sold in Italy. Giulio graduated in 1994 from the University of Pavia with a degree in the History of Art. Giulio's area of expertise is Post-War Italian art, and in particular, the works of Lucio Fontana.
