As a graduate of the Ecole du Louvre, Marine de Cenival started her career in Christie’s in 2001. During her 12 years of experience she sold, among other exceptional objects, a pair of silver bells from Orloff’s set in 2004 (€270,000). The next year, she sold a pair of Louis XV varnished boxes with gold settings (€400,000). In 2007, she also took part in the sale of Monsieur René Smadja’s collection which featured a pair of 1750 vermillion wall lamps by Michel Delapierre (€420,000).
In 2009, she played a key role in the sale of the collection of Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé which is still the biggest silver sale in history at €19 million. In October 2012, she managed the sale of a connoisseur’s collection (€6,500,000) of 18th century French works of art including a beautiful ladle by Charles Spire (€145,000) and an exceptional rock crystal pot with a gold setting from 1726 (€685,000).
