A fan signed F[rancis] Houghton, the gauze leaf painted with three couples in 17th century dress in the wood, the wooden sticks pierced and gilt- 15in. (38cm.), circa 1885; three silk fans with wooden sticks, upper guardsticks inscribed "Chelsea Conception"; a lithographic fan with mother of pearl sticks; and three other fans, all in a fitted fan case by Gebru. Rodeck, Wien, with two trays for six fans each, inscribed Preciose Facher (8)
