A Doccia (Lorenzo Ginori) composite part dinner-service
Circa 1775
Painted with scattered red roses within borders of berried green foliage garlands edged with a gilt line, comprising:

Two oval soup-tureens and domed covers, with pierced foliage-moulded handles enriched with gilding, each finial formed as a putto seated on a rock
Two two-handled crenelated monteiths, of oval gadrooned form with handles formed as up-turned scrolling foliage
Four shaped square tureens and covers, with waisted sides and rounded corners, the shaped pyramidal covers with rounded corners, the finials formed as plumes of feathers
A two-handled cuelle and cover, with waisted shaped sides, the handles with foliage terminals, the shallow domed cover with lemon finial
Four large shaped oval serving-dishes, in two sizes (three cracked from rim to centre and repaired, another with small rim chip)
Eighteen shaped oval serving-dishes, in three sizes (one with small rim chip and slight crack from rim)
Four oval leaf-shaped serving dishes, in two sizes
Six large shaped circular serving-dishes, in two sizes
Two circular deep dishes (minute rim chip to one)
Twenty-four shaped circular soup-plates
Fifty-two shaped circular dinner-plates (one with very small chip to underside of rim, one with small rim chip and associated crack, four with a slightly extended firing crack from rim, four with other cracks) Sixteen teacups and eighteen saucers, the cups of flared form with loop handles (one with rim chip, one with minute shallow rim chip, one saucer with crack from rim)
Eight custard-cups and six covers, of globular form with loop handles, the shallow domed covers with acorn finials

(Some slight wear to gilding and surfaces in places)

This lot includes twenty-four (Richard Ginori) 20th Century (hard paste) shaped circular side-plates, similarly decorated
