The Triumph of Galatea, a fan, the leaf painted with Galatea, a sea-nymph of Sicilian origin, in the arms of Acis on her cockle shell drawn by dolphins, surrounded by gods and goddesses, the verso with a landscape, the mother of pearl sticks carved and pierced with four pairs of lovers and putti, the guardsticks with a flautist and putti, backed with red foil - 11in. (28cm.), circa 1740 (one guardstick damaged)
