Lot Essay

Three of the drawings are accompanied by letters from Bernhardt Crystal of the Washington Irving Gallery, New York which state that the drawings were acquired in 1958 from Mrs. Caroline Luks wife of Will Luks who was then the executor of George Luks's estate.
