Lot Essay

Note: The first letter makes it plain that the writer, John Paul, was sent out to St. Christopher as a form of punishment, and he pleads with his mother to intercede with his father to put an end to his banishment. The second letter, to his brother, gives an illiterate but graphic account of the raid on St. Kitts by Admiral Villeneuve.
