A GEORGE III MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND IVORY-INLAID TORTOISESHELL AND GREEN-STAINED TORTOISESHELL WORK TABLE**
Circa 1790, originally with a work basket
The hinged oval top inlaid with a flowerhead motif and with ivory stringing, opening to an interior with two red silk-lined wells flanking the central compartment with bottom hinged to receive a hanging basket, the tapering square legs joined by an X-stretcher centered by a turned ivory finial, on brass caps
