Lot Essay

Grosfeld House was a furniture manufacturing company that produced high-style pieces, many of which were created out of Lucite, glass and mirror. The firm flourished in the late 1930s - 1940s, under the guidance of designer Lorin Jackson, who among other things, was known for her "Glassic" line of furniture, which included pieces designed out of modern materials in the Neoclassic taste.
