Edo period, illegibly signed on the barrel Doyo shin Nishio ..tsune tsukuru kore and dated Ka'ei nana tora doshi deki (1854)
The large-bore cylindrical iron barrel terminating in an octagonal muzzle and decorated on the top with a Sanskrit character inlaid in silver and wrapped at the muzzel with a silver band, the lockplate secured by vertical pins through the top and bottom of the stock; fixed and bar sights
