STAMPED 'ES' FOR EPHRAIM STAHL, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Each with a panelled frame and curved rectangular back and seat covered in yellow and cream trellis silk covers, above the guilloche frieze and on fluted turned tapering legs in the shape of quivers and headed by paterae, stamped to the back above one leg each, redecorated (2)

Lot Essay
Ephraim Stahl (d. 1820) received his master title in 1794 and his wife continued the workshop until 1821.
