An armorial Dutch market U-shaped bowl and cover
Circa 1720
Enamelled primarily in iron-red and gilt and enriched with green, blue and aubergine enamels, one side depicting a coat-of-arms surmounted by a coronet below a cell-pattern band, divided by a pair of shell-shaped handles above flowers issuing from pierced rockwork near a fence, the reverse with bamboo, repeated on the domed cover with knop finial
