CIRCA 1725, THE AUGSBURG DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, DREHER'S .. TO FOOTRIM
Decorated in the Seuter workshop, one side with an Oriental lifting the lid of a vase before three figures, one with a basket, the other side with a man presenting a lady with a bowl of flowers, a seated lady with her back to a table of steaming kettles and an onlooker, both scenes flanked by a fence, flowers and foliage on terraces with scrollwork supports, the curved spout with a gilt mask terminal, the loop handle with gilt moulded foliage terminals, the rim and footrim gilt, the domed cover with three birds perched on branches within a broad gilt rim (minor chipping to footrim and underside of cover, slight wear to figures, tip of spout and rims of teapot)
