The 9in. diameter silvered dial with Roman chapters and blued steel spade hands, signed Arnold, Chas. Frodsham 84 STRAND, London. 853., the movement with four front-pinned pillars securing the rectangular brass plates, the back plate signed Chas. Frodsham. 84.STRAND. No.853, chain fusee and spring barrel, maintaining power, half deadbeat escapement, well constructed steel rod pendulum with cylindrical brass-cased bob and silvered calibrated rating nut, silvered beat scale, the case with leaf carved moulding to the flat top, the door with intertwining vine and leaf carved decoration beneath the dial
