HORATIO, VISCOUNT NELSON (1758-1805)
A 2-page document signed: "Nelson & Bronte," a memorandum to the Masters of the Victory, Royal Sovereign and Seahorse, from: "Victory at Sea," 20 August 1804, folio, ordering them to report on the condition of a cask of pork said to be partly eaten by rats: "and the remainder Rotten stinking unfit for men to eat," (lightly browned and worn at folds).
