专家说明

This work painted at Oakbank, Shandon, Dumbartonshire dates from 1917, the year that Flint became R.W.S. The water visible on the right hand side is that of the Gareloch. For a similar composition of the same subject, see R. Lewis & K. Gardner, Sir William Russell Flint, Bristol, 1988, p.53 (illustrated).
