As a vase, surmounted by a cover cast with three wine-making putti, above the enamelled hour and minute rings, the tapering body painted to the front with an oval panel depicting putti, nereids and tritons bestowing gifts on Venus, the reverse side painted with a spray of fruit and flowers, with a pair of scrolling foliate-cast handles, on shaped base cast with a pair of putti supporting a flower chain, on toupie feet
