专家说明

Seago made eight major painting trips to France between 1951 and 1967 in his yacht, Capricorn. He often stopped at Honfleur opposite Le Havre, before continuing along the Seine towards Paris.

A similar composition entitled, Place Hamlin, Honfleur is illustrated in H. Shipp, Edward Seago Painter in the English Tradition, London, 1952, no. 84.
