A well engineered 3½in. gauge model of a South African Railways 2-8-4 side tank locomotive,
built by J. Scott, with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, whistle, clack and blow-down valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, foot plate controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, injector, whistle and hand brake gear, tank filler cap, hand feed pump, cow catcher, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons and other details, finished in green with yellow lining, black and polished brightwork -- 29 x 84cm. (11½ x 33in.)
