The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers alias Wire Workers is one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. It came into being with a Royal Charter of 1670 when the Tin plate workers, originally part of the Ironmongers' company and the Wire Workers, originally part of the Girdlers Company combined. The wire workers were charged with making wire objects such as animal traps and fishhooks.
