专家说明

Avalokiteshvara, also known as Guanyin, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion and the protector of the world. The presented Avalokitesvara belongs to esoteric Buddhism with the arms symbolising his many powers for saving the world and helping followers to gain enlightenment.
Compare with another very similar tantric representation of Avalokiteshvara sold in these Rooms, 10 June 2009, lot 134.
