Chi Fan Tsang is Deputy Chairman, Asia Pacific, and International Director of the Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Department based in Hong Kong. Chi Fan focuses on developing pipeline business in the category as well as advising on the curatorial direction of the auction sales. Hong Kong-born and UK-educated Chi Fan joined the Chinese department at Christie’s London in 1993. Chi Fan relocated to Christie’s Hong Kong in 1997 and began her career as a specialist assisting with cataloguing and curating a number of prestigious private collections. Her specialist knowledge includes early Ming and Qing dynasties ceramics, Chinese Buddhist art, scholars’ objects and jade carvings.

As a bilingual speaker, Chi Fan has played a key role in Christie’s development of the Chinese art market across Greater China. Chi Fan’s specialist expertise, immense experience and deep understanding of the Asian market allowed her to assume a pivotal advisory role for both private and institutional mainland Chinese, Taiwanese and Southeast Asian collectors.

Chi Fan holds a Masters degree in Chinese Art and Archeology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is one of the principal founders of the Robert Chang Art Education Charitable Foundation and is one of its directors.

Marco Almeida is Senior Vice-President and Senior International Specialist, and Head of the Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Department at Christie’s Asia Pacific. He brings over two decades of experience in the auction industry, having begun his career in 2001 and joined Christie’s London in 2008. After several years in London, he relocated to Hong Kong to lead the department in 2021. In addition to his departmental role, Marco also heads private sales for the category across the region, driving sales and securing major consignments.

Marco specialises in Imperial porcelain and jade carvings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and has been instrumental in bringing significant private collections to market. Notable sales include the Heveningham Hall Collection of Classical Chinese furniture (Hong Kong, 2021) and the Butler Collection of 17th-century porcelain (Hong Kong, 2022). Under his leadership, the department has achieved several 100% sold sales and secured market leadership in Hong Kong, including its strongest autumn season since 2017 in 2023.

Born in Brazil and educated in Europe, Marco is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin. He holds a Master’s degree in History of Art and Archaeology from SOAS, University of London.

Liang-Lin joined Christie's in 2010 and manages the full auction cycle—identifying and securing consignments, conducting scholarly research, authoring authoritative catalogue entries, and advising an international clientele of collectors. As an auctioneer, she regularly conducts auctions in Hong Kong and internationally.

Prior to Christie's, she served as a docent at Taipei's National Palace Museum. Lin holds a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University and an M.Litt. in the Arts of China from Christie's Education, London. A native of Taipei, she is fluent in Mandarin and English, with an international background spanning Taiwan, the U.S., the U.K., and Hong Kong that informs her cross-cultural client advisory work.

Sherese Tong is Vice President and Senior Specialist in the Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art Department at Christie’s, working between Hong Kong and Shanghai. She joined Christie’s Hong Kong in 2010, formally entered the department in 2012 after completing specialist training and early roles within the team.

In 2021, Sherese took on a secondment to Shanghai, where she played a central role in strengthening the department’s relationships with clients across Shanghai and southern China. She has since returned to Hong Kong to assume an expanded position focused on cultivating collectors across Hong Kong and Greater China and developing new consignment opportunities. She continues to serve as the department representative in Shanghai, ensuring ongoing support for clients in mainland China.

Sherese oversees business development, client engagement, research, and catalogue production for major Asian art sales. Her notable achievements include leading the landmark Tianminlou Collection sale in Autumn 2023 and The Au Bak Ling Collection Volume II in Autumn 2025, both of which featured important Chinese ceramics from prestigious private collections.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Sherese received her education in the United States and the United Kingdom, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from UCLA, a Master of Letters in Arts of China from the University of Glasgow, and a Master of Arts in Chinese History from the University of Hong Kong.

Audrey Lee is an Associate Vice President and Specialist in the Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art department at Christie’s. She joined in 2012, beginning her career in New York before relocating to Hong Kong in 2022. Over the past decade, Audrey has contributed significantly to the development of Christie’s Asian art sales. She led the department’s first global eCommerce sale and has played an integral role in presenting several landmark collections, including Robert H. Tina Zonars, Deputy Chairman, Americas & Co-Chairman, Asian Art , joined Christie’s in 1983. She was a key figure in several record-breaking sales held at Christie’s, including The Collection of Robert Hatfield Ellsworth in 2015 and Important Chinese Art from the Fujita Museum in March 2017, which was the most successful auction of Asian art to date and realized a staggering $262,839,500. Prior to joining Christie’s, Ms. Zonars was awarded a studentship at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy. Michael Bass is a Senior Vice President, International Director, Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Department based in New York. Vicki Paloympis joined Christie’s Chinese Works of Art department in 2011. She has contributed to several of the most important auctions of the category, including The Collection of Robert Hatfield Ellsworth, The Fujita Museum Collection, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Collection. Based in New York, she works closely with collectors and institutions, and travels internationally to secure consignments. Her role includes overseeing strategy for the New York auctions, managing the department pipeline, and conducting appraisals for key clients. Vicki holds a BA in Chinese Art from New York University and an MA, with distinction, in the History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London. She also earned a postgraduate diploma in Chinese Studies from the Johns Hopkins–Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. Rufus Chen is an Associate Vice President and Head of Sale at Christie’s New York. Since joining in January 2016, Mr. Chen has been instrumental in the department’s success, leading the establishment of the E-commerce channel and overseeing Chinese works of art online sales from 2017 to 2021, driving significant growth in digital transactions. He spearheaded the groundbreaking sale Contemporary Clay: Yixing Pottery from the Irving Collectionin 2019, the first of its kind by an international auction house. He was also responsible for researching and cataloging the Yixing pottery from the Collection of Eileen and I. M. Pei, which was sold at Christie’s Hong Kong in 2019. During his tenure at Christie’s, Mr. Chen has worked on prestigious private and institutional collections such as the Fujita Museum Collection, the Virata Collection of Asian Art, the Junkunc Collection, the Winston and C. Z. Guest Collection of Chinese art, as well as Chinese Porcelain from the Collection of Professor and Mrs. Yu Chunming, the Collection of Louise and Donald Aberfeld, and the Charles Soong Family Collection.

Prior to Christie’s, Mr. Chen held positions at Sotheby’s, artnet, and iGavel auctions. He received a B.A. in Art History from Wheaton College and furthered his education in Asian art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and English, his multicultural background and linguistic abilities enable him to navigate seamlessly in the global art market, fostering connections and facilitating transactions across diverse cultural landscapes.

Michelle Cheng joined Christie’s in 2011 and specializes in Classical Chinese Furniture. She led several landmark sales including the Collection of Robert Hatfield Ellsworth, the Collection of Florence and Herbert Irving, and Masterpieces of Early Chinese Gold and Silver. She was a key member in landing several important Classical Chinese Furniture collections, including the Shanruoshui Xuan collection, Ming/Modern: Classical Chinese Furniture from a Distinguished Family Collection, The Flacks Family Collection I, The Marie Theresa Virata Collection, and the Raymond Hung Collection.

In May 2026, Michelle played a pivotal role in bringing the Flacks Family Collection II: Curtain Call to Christie’s London, marking the house’s first live sale of Asian art in London in five years and achieving over $5.5 million. In the fall of 2025, Michelle and her colleague, Allison Cox, pioneered the first online onsite auction. Crafted & Collected: The Jonathan Burden Sale re-imagined the traditional country house sale model for a modern audience, inviting clients to view and experience the sale at Jonathan Burden’s Long Island City studio.

She holds several records for highest prices achieved in Chinese furniture selling a very rare pair of huanghuali barrel-form stools for $1,500,000 and a huanghuali kang table for $1,614,000.

Ms. Gristina joined Christie’s in 2012 and has since worked closely on the sales of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 17th-Century Chinese Porcelains from the Collection of Julia and John Curtis, Early Chinese Ritual Bronzes from the Daniel Shapiro Collection, The Collection of Pierre Durand and J. J. Lally & Co., amongst others. Prior to joining Christie’s she served as the Director of The Chinese Porcelain Company in New York for over ten years. While there she developed her expertise in Chinese porcelain and export art, ceramics and works of art, with a focus on objects of the 17th and 18th centuries. She was responsible for exhibition development and overall gallery management, and authored over twenty fully-researched exhibition catalogues. In 2007 Ms. Gristina followed other pursuits as a private consultant and writer, including co-authoring four volumes on Chinese export porcelain entitled, Portugal in Porcelain from China; 500 Years of Trade (2008-2011, Art Books Ltd., London). She served on the board of The National Antique and Art Dealers of America from 2001-2005 and the board of Asia Week New York from 2014-2016. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Asia Week New York.

Katie Lundie is a Specialist in Christie's Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art department in London, bringing more than 15 years of experience across the art market and venture capital sectors. She rejoined Christie's in 2026 to drive the department's growth and lead the return of live Asian Art auctions to the London sales calendar.

During her previous tenure at Christie's between 2012 and 2020, Katie contributed to the sale of several important private collections in London and New York, including the Soame Jenyns Collection and the Collection of Florence and Herbert Irving.

Katie holds an MA (Hons) in Chinese from the University of Edinburgh, an MA with Distinction in the History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London, and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. She has lived and studied in China, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand, and speaks Mandarin Chinese.

Having graduated in History of Art and Museology from the Ecole du Louvre after a law degree, Tiphaine Nicoul joined Christie’s in 2003. Since then she has developed her department and the success of a number of sales which led to Paris becoming an international market place for Asian art.

Thanks to her twenty years of experience, she was involved in some of the most remarkable sales at Christie’s. In 2006, she achieved exceptional results with Le banquet de la victoire dans les jardins de l’Ouest by Zhang Tingyan and Zhan Kun (€6,000,000). In 2007, she was in charge of the sale of gift bronzes and Chinese enamels from Juan Jose Amezaga’s rare collection (€13,200,000). In 2012, after a bidding war over a unique Guanyin wood sculpture, she realised the highest auction total of the year in France, across all categories (€9,000,000).

Zheng Ma joined the Asian Art department as a Chinese art Specialist at Christie’s Paris in 2013. Over the years, she contributed significantly to the success of the department by bringing in important consignments, including an 18th century handscroll attributed to Gu Quan, sold for €5.58 million in 2015, a Qianlong blue and white Penba ewer in 2016 (€421,500), an important imperial ivory seal from the Wanli period (€475,500), and a rock crystal deer from the personal collection of Coco Chanel, which sold for €162,500 in 2019. Speaking French, English and Chinese fluently, Zheng is also the main contact with Christie’s top Chinese clients in the Paris office.

Camille makes her debut at Christie’s as an auctioneer in 2016 with a record sale for an Art d’Asie auction in Europe (€26 million). Driven by a deep admiration for the key figures in the profession, her career path is precocious and eclectic, taking her from classical furniture to the Estates, Appraisals & Valuations department and the arts of Asia.

She oversees a succession of record sales of Asian art from major European collections such as the Buddha statue from a Dutch collection (€13.5 million) or the Himalayan ensemble from the Lionel and Danielle Fournier collection – major donors to the Musée Guimet. Camille launches multiple cultural initiatives in the field of Asian Art, organizing a themed auction on Japonisme and Art Nouveau and playing a key role as Vice-President, in the revival of the Printemps Asiatique in Paris.

Fascinated by fashion and Haute Couture, Camille champions the role of these disciplines in the history of creativity by drawing on such iconic collections such as that of Catherine Deneuve, whose auction she organises, and by placing exceptional fashion pieces at the heart of art auctions, setting world records for works by Paul Poiret, Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent.

Camille de Foresta is Deputy Chairman at Christie’s since 2023 and, as such, is the auction house’s special ambassador in France. Andrew M. Lueck has worked in the Asian art auction business for nearly two decades. He is a Specialist, Vice President, in the Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art at Christie’s based in the Bay Area of San Francisco. He works with West Coast collectors and institutions as well as others throughout the country and globe. He has been responsible for bringing to market notable fine Chinese works of art for sale in New York as well as Hong Kong and advises and works with some of the country’s top collectors and institutions. Among the highlights that he has brought to auction is the Larson Vase, the fine and exceedingly rare blue and white vase, the cover of the HK May 2019 Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Auction selling for $37,260,000 HKD. He also brought to sale in New York the single owner sale titled “The Studio of the Clear Garden.” He is a regular lecturer on the topic of Chinese and Asian art and has recently lectured at The Norton Museum of Art, Palm Beach, The Pacific Asia Museum, Pasadena, Asia Week New York, and Asia Week San Francisco. Mr. Lueck is also a charity auctioneer and has greatly enjoyed raising support for a multitude of organizations which have included: The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Asia Society of Southern California, The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, SFFILM, Levi Strauss Co., The San Francisco Art Institute, The International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society, and The Petaluma River Park Foundation. Before joining Christie’s in 2015 Lueck worked as a specialist at Bonham’s, San Francisco, and prior to that he founded the Asian Works of Art Department at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers (now Freeman’s), Chicago. Lueck holds a BA from Hope College, Holland, Michigan, and an MA with Merit from The University of Manchester (Sotheby’s Institute of Art).

As Senior Vice President and International Director of Christie’s Asian Art departments, Katsura Yamaguchi had been fundamental player in securing business deals and relationships in the Far East and New York. Mr. Yamaguchi has always had an important presence in Asia and was crucial in the growth of Christie’s offices in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to his business development role, as a former Senior Specialist of Japanese and Korean art he acts as a top-level client liaison worldwide.

Mr. Yamaguchi has been instrumental in selling many important private collections. In 1998, he was responsible for the landmark sale of Ukiyo-e Paintings formerly belonging to the Azabu Museum of Art and Craft, which realized $4.9 million. Naturally Mr. Yamaguchi was also active in organizing other important sales, such as Japanese Modern and Contemporary paintings from the Itoman Collection that achieved in 2000, a staggering $7.9 million. In 2005 Mr. Yamaguchi notably handled the sale of Important Swords from the Museum of Japanese Sword Fittings that realized the groundbreaking result of $1.6 million. Additionally, for the remarkable recent business success of Mr. Yamaguchi, sold a very important seated statue of 12th century Dainichi Nyorai for $14,300,000 in March, 2008, that made a world record of Japanese antique art, and of the most expensive individual work in any Asian art sold in New York, now registered as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

In March 2017, Mr, Yamaguchi also got historycal proprrty for "Important Chinese Art from Fujita Museum" sale that realized over $260M and became world auction record of any Asian art sales.

Mr. Yamaguchi began his career at Christie’s in 1992 as a Graduate Trainee in London. He then moved to Tokyo, Japan as an Assistant Specialist for Japanese Paintings in 1994. He continued to move from strength to strength in that department rising to the position of Associate Director, Business Development in 1997 and Senior Specialist in 2000. In 2004 Mr. Yamaguchi assumed the responsibilities he had as Senior Vice President and was given the role of International Director in addition to that in 2007. Mr. Yamaguchi currently works in Tokyo office from July 2017 as SVP and International Director of Asian art.

A native of Japan, he was educated at Gyosei Gakuen (L’Ecole de l’Etoile du Matin) High School. Mr. Yamaguchi then earned his B.A. at Rikkyo (St. Paul’s) University in Tokyo. He is currently guest professor for Kyoto University of Art and Design, a member of Japanese Art Society of America, Director for The Adachi Foundation and a Director for the International Ukiyo-e Society.

Charmie Hamami was appointed as Christie’s Deputy Chairman, Southeast Asia in June 2016. Ms. Hamami is responsible for all business and client development and the further strengthening of Christie’s presence and brand in the region, one of the fastest growing in Asia.

In her role, Ms. Hamami is responsible for developing and nurturing client relations in Southeast Asia and providing local clients with easy access to not only Christie’s specialists and sales, but to the international art market. Ms. Hamami works closely with the firm’s top clients, advising on all aspects of both buying and consigning in Christie’s auctions around the world. She works closely with Christie’s international senior specialists in all major sale categories and also serves as the liaison for Christie’s institutional relationships in Indonesia.

Ms. Hamami first joined Christie’s in 1999 where she worked in Client Services department, before taking up her current role. Ms. Hamami holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Architecture, and is certified in Diamond Essential from Gemological Institute of America. She is proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia and Japanese.
