British Drawings & Watercolours

As the market leader for British Drawings & Watercolours, Christie’s is dedicated to offering the finest works on paper from the 17th to the 19th centuries, spanning a number of schools and movements and representing the rich artistic tradition of Great Britain.

Early British drawings and watercolours, including works by Turner, Gainsborough and Constable, are offered alongside Old Masters twice a year in London and in a dedicated sale in New York in January. Victorian and British Impressionist works on paper are sold alongside paintings in our June British and European Art sale in London and in October in New York, a sale strategy which results in exceptional prices for Pre-Raphaelite masters such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones.

Our experienced specialists, based in London, Paris and New York are committed to seeking out works of historic provenance and academic importance and available for free and confidential valuations or advice.
