Discover prints and editions from the 19th century to now in our series of Prints and Multiples auctions in London and New York this March.
The live auction Contemporary Edition: New York on 14 March presents over 130 post-war and contemporary prints and multiples by artists such as Ed Ruscha, Joan Mitchell, Alex Katz, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Derrick Adams, alongside a selection of prints and works on paper from the Collection of Brooke and Carolyn Alexander.
Bidding for Contemporary Edition: London is open from 12–26 March, strongly focusing on prints and multiples by eminent British and European artists. Headlining the sale are iPad prints by David Hockney from the Arrival of Spring in Woldgate and Yosemite series. Other highlights include two rare portfolios of etchings by Louise Bourgeois and seminal subjects by Banksy such as Morons, HMV and Choose Your Weapon.
The online auction of Prints and Multiples, 13–27 March, showcases iconic images by leading figures in the Western canon. Highlights include Pablo Picasso’s Minotaure caressant une dormeuse and Minotaure aveugle guidé par une fillette dans la nuit, both from the collection of the late Paula Rego, and important subjects by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
The excitement continues in New York with a live auction of Prints and Multiples on 15 and 16 April, offering iconic prints by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Henri Matisse, alongside post-war and contemporary editions by renowned artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and more.
