European Ceramics and Glass

Based in London, Paris and New York, Christie’s international specialists of European Ceramics and Glass have over 70 years of combined experience. Working collaboratively, the team regularly brings to market significant examples of English and Continental pottery, porcelain and glass from the 15th to 21st centuries.

The ceramics team has realised exceptional sale results with pieces from all major factories and workshops, including those of Berlin, Chelsea, Doccia, Du Paquier, Meissen, Minton, Royal Copenhagen, Vincennes/Sèvres, Theodore Deck and Wedgwood, to name but a few. The department also excels in Italian maiolica and Hispano-Moresque pottery.

Offering a range of sale platforms — including The Exceptional Sale, The Collector, curated online auctions and single-owner private collections — Christie’s ensures each piece reaches the right collectors. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for a free and confidential valuation, or to simply discuss the market.
