專家說明

Johnson was a pupil of Francis Danby and as with Samuel Jackson, his landscapes show a very real appreciation of Danby's Bristol painting.
Johnson was a close follower of Danby's style and his watercolours of church interiors were considered amongst the finest architectural drawings of the period. For further information on the artist see F. Greenacre, The Bristol School of Artists, Bristol, 1973, pp. 165-180.
