Pierre-Jules Mne (1810-1879)

The wax model for the present bronze, exhibited at the Salon on 1879, was Mne's last entry before his death in May of the same year. Characteristic of his work, in this group Mne models perfectly the essential nature of his subject, portraying the concentration of both hound and handler.
