A yew-wood and elm high-back Windsor armchair, Lincolnshire, early 19th century

This chair is illustrated in Dr. B. Cotton The English Regional Chair, Woodbridge, 1991, p. 120, fig. NE37. The chair displays many features of the Sleaford/Grantham Makers and is clearly a special chair made to order. This, perhaps, explains why the chair is not stamped as it was not to be publically sold.
