A fine stomacher, worked in fresh coloured silks on an ivory silk ground with an undulating floral pattern and a central bird, also with whitework decoration including a heart and pomegranates, bound in pink ribbon--10.5 x 9.5in. (27 x 24cm. at widest), probably German, 1740s
